SHAMPOO

• Always brush out any tangles PRIOR  to shampooing your hair by spraying a mixture of conditioner and water starting from the bottom up.

• DO NOT apply excessive water all at once to the hair, hair can swell and tangle.  Be sure to section and gradually wet the hair before you completely saturate it.

• Shampoo hair in a downward motion, do not mix hair all together and create unnecessary tangles. 

• Massage at the scalp and do not scrub.

• Only use shampoo/conditioner/leave-in conditioner designed exclusively for hair extensions.  And Use a deep cleansing or chelating shampoo every 2 weeks to remove build up.

 

PRODUCTS

• Styling products create build up on the hair. Use hair spray or other styling products sparingly and try to avoid those containing alcohol that can cause the hair to become dry.Also AVOID products with heavy oils, we suggest the use of a light shine or mist.

 

MAINTENANCE

• When brushing your hair extensions, start at the ends of your hair and gently work your way up.  We recommend brushing your hair daily.

• Avoid using excessive heat.

• When using heat styling tools, avoid the bonded tip of the Keratin extensions, as it can cause the bonds to loosen and shed.

• Make sure the hair is completely dry before going to bed, NEVER sleep on wet hair to prevent tangling.  You should braid, wrap, or ponytail all your hair together to prevent tangling.

• For the least amount of stress on your natural hair, we recommend wearing your extensions for 2-3 months.  Never should you wear extensions over 4 months.

 

EXERCISE

• When swimming, a swim cap is suggested to prevent prolong exposure to chlorine or salt water which may cause the hair to become dry, dull or discolored.

• After exposure to either type of water, immediately shampoo the hair with a clarifying shampoo and hydrating conditioner.

• It is recommended to wear your hair up or in a ponytail when you swim or exercise.
